At Forristal Woodwork I believe in the importance of long lasting, quality furniture, handbuilt to fit perfectly with your needs.
Wood is a natural, living material. I try to embrace this by incorporating live, waney edges into my pieces as often as possible. As a result, even when adhering to a single design, each piece will vary depending on the character of the wood, its grain pattern and its natural shape, which - if possible - I try to retain.
Every Forristal Woodwork piece is handmade by me, in my workshop in Co. Mayo. I use a blend of modern machinery for the milling process and traditional hand tools for joinery and finishing.
